Deze foto’s werden in 2007 gemaakt met de toen nog iets nieuwere Canon 350D. Mijn voorliefde ging toen nog uit naar de industriefotografie, maar dat is de laatste jaren wel een beetje op een zijspoor geraakt.

Duinkerke is een echt walhalle voor industriefotografen. De drie hoogovens inclusief een cokesfabriek liggen vrijwel direct aan de Noordzee. Wie een beetje direct contact met security niet schuwt is op deze locatie zeker van een mooie dag.

Overigens,

als ik enkele (industrie)liefhebbers nog een tip mag geven: Bezoek zo snel mogelijk de verlaten hoogovens in Clabecq. De ”forges” zijn al volop in ontmanteling, en volgens google earth zouden alleen nog de carcassen van de hoogovens overeind staan. Normaliter geef ik dit soort tips niet, maar dergelijk erfgoed moet nog een keertje bekeken worden voordat de sloop in werking treed.

For this one, I already had ground coffee. I still need a burr grinder to make espresso out of fresh beans.

Prepare the machine.

Tamp your coffee and get the job done.
